London / Bangkok / Hong Kong- MTV Networks in Asia Pacific and registered UK charity MTV Europe Foundation in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), have launched MTV EXIT (End Exploitation and Trafficking) across Asia Pacific. The campaign is the first youth-focused pan-regional initiative to raise awareness and prevent human trafficking, an expansion of the MTV EXIT European campaign which has been ongoing since 2004. Funded by USAID to inform youths about human trafficking, MTV EXIT features multiple general and targeted messages including safe migration advice to youths who might be at risk of trafficking, as well as messages to inform consumers that they may play a part in the demand underlying trafficking and exploitation. Addressing major forms of human trafficking in Asia Pacific including sex trafficking, forced prostitution, labour trafficking and forced domestic servitude, MTV EXIT is divided into Asia-Pacific and South Asia regions with dedicated TV programming produced beginning with a half-hour documentary for each
