London– Monica Chard has joined Chellomedia’s global thematic channel operator Zonemedia as Global Advertising Sales Director. She is responsible for identifying and developing new advertising opportunities for the Zonemedia portfolio of channels. Chard will work with Zonemedia programmers and overseas representatives to formulate packages for international advertisers and fit with the brand strategy of channels including Zone Reality, Zone Club, Zone Horror, Zone Romantica and Extreme Sports Channel. She has already signed a deal with Rimmel in Hungary to sponsor the 26 x 5’ series Makeup Makeover, with on-air promotions to premiere on Zone Club in September along with online promotion through the Zone Club website and magazine tie-ins. Chard was VP, International Advertising Sales for Discovery Channel where she built the brand as part of an international advertising strategy and solutions including branded content, sponsorship and competitions for clients such as Johnnie Walker, HP and Toyota.
