Kuala Lumpur- The inaugural Buyer Fly-In Program by Malaysia’s Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) resulted in 23 Memorandums of Agreement (MoA) for content co-production and development worth some RM385 million ($US110.4 million) signed between Malaysian companies and buyers from US, Europe and Asia. In addition to 9 MoAs signed by Malaysia’s Rocket Fish with partners from the US, Ireland, Hungary and Singapore, Marcera Technology formalized deals with Hong Kong-based Moffy Ltd, China Digital Entertainment Alliance and Mobile Telecom Networks (Holdings) Ltd and Thailand’s Imagimax Co. Ltd. Evo Pictures inked MoAs with Hong Kong-based Cine Century Entertainment and Ace Hero Films & Entertainment Co. Ltd. Deals were also signed by Malaysia’s Vision New Media and Netcarbon with various partners.
