Burbank, California– Kirk Bloomgarden has joined DIC Entertainment as Executive Vice President of Global Sales to oversee the company’s worldwide TV, home entertainment and consumer products’ divisions, effective Jan. 1, 2008. Based in DIC’s headquarters in Burbank, he will report to Jeffrey Edell, President of DIC, and work on overall company strategy with Andy Heyward, Chairman & CEO of DIC. Bloomgarden will collaborate with executives from each division as well as third party partners, rights holders and licensees to manage DIC’s brands including Strawberry Shortcake, McDonald’s, Dino Squad, Horseland, Cake, Mommy & Me and Madeline as a whole business. He will also manage implementation of strategic brand plans. He was formerly CEO of licensing agency Copyright Promotions, where he led the growth of the company in Europe and its brands including Care Bears, Peanuts, Pink Panther, Shrek, Spider-Man, Strawberry Shortcake, The F.A., The Simpsons and WWE.
