Singapore- Michael Naimark, Co-Founder of the MIT Media Lab, Apple Lab, Atari Lab, and Lucas Arts; Suresh Seetharaman Founder and President, Virgin Animation and Virgin Comics; and Jyri Salomaa, Head of Research, Nokia China, will be among the international mentors at X|Media|Lab Singapore from Sept. 28-30. Themed “Media aRt&d,” the workshop/conference will highlight the intersections between the creative and technological, turning creative digital media ideas into R&D projects, then into successful Intellectual Property. The Pro Day Conference on Sept. 28 will concentrate on Media Arts; R&D; New Media, New Geographies; and Creative Ideas and Business Plans. The Lab, held Sept. 29-30 at the new Art, Design and Media (ADM) Building at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), is seeking 12-14 great digital media project ideas that intersect media arts and/or R&D. The companies and project teams selected will work one-on-one with each of their chosen mentors on their project ideas.
