Singapore – Streaming 21, a provider of broadcast-quality streaming solutions, has set up a new research and development (R&D) center in Singapore. Headed by Horng-Juing Lee, co-founder and vice president of Engineering, the Singapore R&D facility focuses on design and development of its core products for IPTV, mobile TV and digital home solutions. Streaming21’s new R&D center received support from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), the government agency responsible for planning and executing economic strategies to position Singapore as a global hub for business and investment. Currently, Streaming21’s presence spans the US, Taiwan, Japan, China and Singapore as its IPTV solutions have been deployed by telcos and IPTV service providers across these markets. The company’s key clients include NTT Communications, NEO Index, VIC TOKAI, Enterwave and TEPCO in Japan; KT in South Korea; and Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan.
