FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has established FHE Australia, its own DVD label to manage the company’s home entertainment content in Australia and New Zealand. Run by a local team, FHE Australia will work with distributor destra vision to distribute Neighbours, Satisfaction and the Jamie Oliver franchise, along with classic titles from Thames’ back catalogue, including Goodnight Sweetheart and Rumpole of the Bailey, throughout Australia. Although all of FME’s titles will be released through the new label, the company will be looking to acquire new content locally, globally and from FremantleMedia Production Australia for this new venture. Pete Kalhan, FME’s Senior Vice President, Home Entertainment and Archive, said, “Over the next few months we will be exploring the possibility of setting up our own label in a number of other territories and distributing directly.”
