Culver City, California – Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) has appointed Spencer Hunt to the newly-created position of vice president, game production and digital product development. Based at SPTI’s headquarters in Culver City, California, he reports to Marie Jacobson, executive vice president, programming and production, international networks, SPTI. Hunt is responsible for developing and implementing SPTI’s games strategy, supporting key studio products with mobile and online games, and developing game-derivative video content for multiple platforms. He manages development and production of games in line with SPTI’s strategy to deploy a range of mobile games across multiple carriers globally. The international mobile gaming business was previously a segment of SPTI’s broader digital content development initiative. Hunt was formerly executive director of production at Sony Online Entertainment and Sony Pictures Digital, where he helped develop the God of War: Betrayal mobile game, and Ratchet and Clank: Going Mobile. He has shipped more than 35 games for PS3, mobile, PC, Blu-Ray, PS2 and Xbox.
