London – DCD Media-owned NBDtv, UK-based independent distributor, has made a raft of international sales for its slate of music and documentary programming. Christina Aguilera Back to Basics: Live And Down Under (1 x 60”), which follows the singer and her 12-piece band on their ‘Back To Basics’ world tour, has been licensed by Japan’s WHD, Australia’s XYZ, VH1 in the US, MTV in Italy, Switzerland’s SF and VIVA and Israel’s HOT Vision. The fifth season of September Films’ reality wedding series, Bridezillas (18 x 60”), which follows brides-to-be during their wedding planning, has been acquired by Discovery in India and Zone Media in Poland and Hungary. Also sold to VH1 in the US were NBDtv live concerts Scissor Sisters Live at the O2 Arena (1 x 60” / 1 x 90”), Amy Winehouse: Live in Shepherds Bush (1 x 60” / 1 x 90”) and Nickelback Live (1 x 60”). WE in the US acquired I Don’t Like Mondays (1 x 60”), a documentary on 16 year old Brenda Spencer, the perpetrator of America’s first school shooting. American Public Television picked up Jimi Hendrix – America Landing (1 x 55’), a documentary celebrating the 40th anniversary of Hendrix’s Monterey performance.
