Toronto – Portfolio Entertainment’s outing to MIPTV has generated new deals for library programs including Chef at Home; Breathing Space Yoga; and Animal Magnetism, adding to sales closed previously for its children’s programming. Korea’s C4U Media picked up VOD rights for 52 episodes in seasons four and five, while Canal + Cyfrowy / Kitchen TV (Poland) acquired all five seasons totaling 131 half-hours for pay TV of Chef At Home a culinary series featuring chef Michael Smith. Zone Club, a division of Chellomedia UK, acquired pay cable and satellite rights to all 65 half-hour episodes of Diane Bruni-hosted exercise series Breathing Space Yoga for EMEA territories. Brazil’s Globosat took pay TV rights for all 26 half-hour episodes of Animal Magnetism a series on animal-human bonds. The new deals add to sales for six children’s series at MIPTV including Workforce, Heads Up!, Spellz, The Big Comfy Couch, Panda Bear Daycare, and Igloo-Gloo. Korea’s Sun Media obtained both cable and satellite TV rights for all 26 half-hour episodes of Workforce, a series helping youths make informed decisions on their future careers. Malaysia’s RTM acquired free TV rights to all 26 half-hour episodes of Heads Up!, an astronomy series introducing children and tweens to the universe.
