Beijing/Hong Kong/Singapore – MTV Networks China has won exclusive landing rights into the Beijing Olympic Village during the Olympics being held August 8-24, 2008. Approved by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG), MTV China 24-hour Channel will air from June 24, 2008 over the private Olympic cable TV network to all Olympics-related competition venues and hotels. Headlining the MTV China 24-hour Channel will be MTV Burr and 100 MTV Ways To Rock The Olympic Games Village, which will broadcast during the special coverage period. MTV Burr will provide viewers with an entertainment guide to Beijing in 20 episodes while 100 MTV Ways To Rock The Olympic Games is an on air and off air nationwide contest inviting viewers to contribute photos and videos which best represent the Olympic spirit. Selected works from online polls will be shown weekly on MTV China 24-hour Channel and MTV China website at www.mtvchina.com MTV China 24-hour Channel will also be available in the Olympic Headquarters Hotel, the Main Press Centre (MPC), the International Broadcasting Centre (IBC), and the Media Villages, and the BOCOG Building.
