Hilversum – Endemol Group has appointed Marco Di Gioacchino to the newly created role of executive director, branded entertainment. Based in London, Di Gioacchino will work with brands worldwide to partner with the group’s entertainment properties. Di Gioacchino’s appointment is part of Endemol’s global initiative to expand its advertiser-related business activities following successes in the UK, US, and Europe. Content created includes Orange Playlist for ITV1 and Vodafone Live Music Awards for Channel 4 in the UK; Extreme Makeover: Home Edition sponsored by Sears for ABC, and Band in a Bubble sponsored by Dr. Pepper for MTV in the US; and Life and Cooking with Unilever for RTL4 in the Netherlands. Marco was formerly at new media marketing director at Publitalia, a TV advertising company within Mediaset group where he provided advertisers and media agencies with integrated communication solutions for on and off-line media.
