Paris – Philippe Dauman, president and chief executive officer of Viacom Inc., will keynote the upcoming audiovisual content market MIPCOM to be held October 13-17, 2008 in Cannes. He will focus on the creative resurgence at Viacom’s cable and motion picture studio properties, in linear programming as well as digital expansion and integration. Discussions will be on MTV, Nickelodeon, BET and other Viacom properties that have enhanced viewer engagement, ratings and advertiser support from intensified focus and investment in original programming. Dauman has served as president and CEO of Viacom since September 2006. Viacom, comprising BET Networks, MTV Networks and Paramount Pictures, offers entertainment content via brands including MTV, VH1, CMT, Logo, Harmonix, Nickelodeon, Noggin, Nick at Nite, AddictingGames, Comedy Central, Spike TV, TV Land, AtomFilms, Gametrailers, BET, Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Vantagetelevision across TV, motion picture and digital platforms.
