Singapore – CNBC has announced the appointment of Chan Wai Leng to its Asia Pacific team, as the director of marketing and research with immediate effect. To be based in Singapore, Chan will report to Lim Yew Nee, director of advertising sales and operations, SEA. In this capacity, Chan will oversee CNBC’s research, as well as brand and event marketing activities targeted towards the trade and consumers in the Asia Pacific region. Wai Leng joins CNBC from Mediaedge:cia (MEC) with more than a decade of marketing, branding and research experience. As group account director at MEC for the Singapore Airlines global account and the Chanel regional business, she drove the head office multi-platform planning and the worldwide MEC network servicing of the respective local markets. “We’re delighted to have Wai Leng on board as part of our team,” Lim said. “Given her vast marketing experience, impressive track record and credentials, we look forward to her contribution to the continuous growth of the CNBC network within the region.”
