FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has announced a slate of new shows available for international sale. Chef’s Christmas (5 x 30 mins), invites viewers into the homes of ten of Australia’s hottest chefs and restaurateurs to share their seasonal entertaining secrets. From Atlantic Productions (the makers of Hannibal and The Real Face of Santa), comes Star of Bethlehem (1x 1 hour), a modern day analysis of the ancient night skies and gives new insights into the light that guided the Magi to the birthplace of Jesus. Drama The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall (1 x 2 hour) is a two part story based on a mother and father’s fight to get justice for their son Thomas Hurndall, a British peace activist killed by an Israeli sniper, while trying to get Palestinian children out of danger in Rafah in the Gaza strip. FME is also bringing viewers comic Jon Dore to international audiences. In The Jon Dore Television Show, (series 1: 13 x 30mins, series 2: 13 x 30mins) host Dore puts himself in the line of fire while exploring some bizarre issues. The FME entertainment selection consists of Tobie and Matt’s Europe, featuring Tobie Puttock and Matt Skinner as they backpack across Europe, sampling regional food and wine. On the search for the perfect property comes I Own Britain’s Best Home (10 x 1 hour). Dryspell Gardening (6 x 1 hour) gives gardeners information on how to achieve a beautiful garden while doing their bit for the environment. The Supersizers Go (7 x 1 hour) from Silver River Productions, covers the food eating habits of the British over the past 500 years. FestivAsia – Moon Dance (1 x 1 hour) follows people from different corners of Asia showing their ‘Moon Dance’ firsthand and discovering if the moon indeed holds mystical powers.
