FOX Classics began its Bond. Classic Bond season, with the first ever 007 movie, Dr. No, attracting the channel’s largest audience to date. Dr. No was the third most watched program on subscription television on August 31 (behind LIVE AFL and NRL matches). The 1962 film stars Sean Connery in his first outing as James Bond and Ursula Andress as the first ‘Bond girl’ Honey Ryder. For the Bond. Classic Bond’ season, FOX Classics secured the television rights to the first 16 James Bond films and is presenting the movies in chronological order as Sunday night double features. This is the first time these Bond movies have aired on a basic cable channel anywhere in the world.
