Singapore – Talent search formats and long-form dramas dominate across all language channels as MediaCorp TV unveiled its Autumn schedule to over 1,000 assembled agencies and ad clients. Football format First XI, talent searches Campus Superstar 3 and Vansantham Star, and bi-annual awards Pesta Perdana are among the highlights on MediaCorp’s English, Mandarin, Tamil and Malay channels respectively. Long-form home-grown dramas include Red Thread for English language Channel 5; The Ultimatum and Your Hand in Mine for Mandarin language Channel 8. Youth-skewed Mandarin language Channel U has an exclusive in Korean period drama from SBS, Iljimae. From October 18, Tamil-language Vansantham will become a full channel in its own right, having previously shared Central with Kids and Arts. Kids and Arts combine onto new channel okto (pronounced ‘octo’), highlights on which include BBC Worldwide’s Life in Cold Blood and homegrown kids comedy Cosmo & George.
