Singapore – Following rumours of another executive reshuffle at MTV Networks International, senior vice president of MTVNI and Viacom Brand Solutions Ian Stewart is set to leave the company. End-June 2008, Television Asia Plus reported the sudden exit of Li Yifei, executive vice president and managing director of MTV Networks China. Other executive departures were believed to be imminent, but Stewart’s exit was only confirmed this week. Asked about rumours of yet another restructure, MTV Asia LDC’s executive vice president and managing director Amit Jain, currently in New York, said there is absolutely no restructuring at MTV Asia. “We are having a successful year with healthy revenue and income growth.” An industry insider speculated that Stewart’s exit might stem from an ‘unhappy marriage’ management structure between MTV Asia LDC, headed up by executive vice president and managing director Amit Jain, and MTV Networks International/Viacom Brand Solutions, of which Stewart was senior vice president.
