Singapore – Animax Asia will star Taiwan-based artiste and singer Vanness Wu of Mando-pop group ‘F4′-fame, and Hong Kong-based award-winning actress and rock star Josie Ho as voice actors in leading roles for LaMB, the TV network’s first multimedia, multiplatform, HD, original animation production for online, mobile and TV platforms. Wu takes on the role of protagonist Dr. Jack Griswold while Ho voices villain Keiko Suzuki in LaMB. Based on the award-winning script submitted by Filipino amateur writer Carmelo Juinio to the Animax Awards 2007 pan-Asia scriptwriting contest, LaMB is the first animation production under the US$6 million Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and SPE Networks – Asia Joint Production Fund. Currently in production at a Singapore-based animation studio, LaMB follows protagonists Jack and Eve’s fight against planet Cerra’s ‘Lamination’ system of imprisonment where criminals are kept in laminated suits to remain productive but not free members of society. Wu is providing English and Mandarin dubs while Ho is voicing in English and Cantonese for LaMB’s animation feature premiering early 2009 on Animax across Asia, as well as mobisodes.
