London – ITV Global Entertainment Ltd announced that its international television distribution business has closed major deals with key global broadcasters for the hit musical-drama, Britannia High. HBO Latin America, MBC in the Middle East, Seven Network Australia and Nickelodeon Australia have each acquired the new series. Other programming on ITV’s ATF slate included: comedy drama Boy Meets Girl stars Martin Freeman (The Office; Love Actually) as dreamer Danny Reed, whose life is turned upside down when he is struck by lightning and wakes to find himself trapped in a woman’s body; Wuthering Heights (2 x 70 minutes), stars Tom Hardy (Oliver Twist) as the dark and brooding Heathcliff alongside newcomer Charlotte Riley as Cathy. The second series of Big, Bigger, Biggest, a landmark CGI-driven strand examines the evolutionary engineering leaps that have enabled structures to explode in size and scale. How It Was, a new 6 x 1 hour (50′) series from Creative Differences for National Geographic Channel, brings new understanding to history’s most pivotal moments, through still photographs, film footage, audio recordings, and vivid eye witness testimony. Factual entertainment was also well served by ITV Global Entertainment at the ATF with the 4 x 1 hour (50′) series Dawn Porter: Extreme Wife. The Crunch sees six of the world’s toughest men and women competing in the face of seemingly impossible challenges, and is available as a format or an 8 x 1 hour (50′) finished programme from VHQ TV for The Media Development Authority (Singapore) and Granada International. Relentless is the brand new reality game show where questions will be asked at any time, any place, anywhere. Contestants will sign up for the show but they’ll have no idea when it will start. Available as a format or a 6 x 1 hour (45′) finished programme from Zig Zag Productions.
