Paris – China’s State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television (SARFT) Vice Minister Tian Jin will lead a Chinese industry delegation at a series of ‘Focus on China’ events and private receptions to be held at the 46th MIPTV on March 31. According to the SARFT Vice Minister, China’s economy remains relatively vibrant despite the global economic crisis. “Our major aim in attending MIPTV is to develop television programme exchanges and co-operation with other countries, to promote mutual understanding and friendship between China and the world,” he said. SARFT will use MIPTV to encourage international players to embark on more and wider factual co-productions with Chinese organizations at a dedicated seminar on ‘Cooperation between China and Other Countries in Television Programmes.’ In addition, the China United Pavilion at MIPTV brings together China International TV Corp, CTV Media, Hunan Satellite TV, Hangzhou International Animation Festival, Capital Radio & TV Producers Association, Zhejiang Huace Film and TV and other leading industry players to showcase new productions, including documentary Dun Huang – Pearl on the Silk Road, TV drama The Legend of Bruce Lee and animation series The Monkey King.
