Brighton/Sydney – New contemporary drama Survivors will air on Prime Television in New Zealand following the conclusion of a content deal between Prime and BBC Worldwide Australia. Survivors (1 x 90 + 5 x 50) is set in the aftermath of a virus which has wiped out most of the world’s population. A selection of entertainment, factual and lifestyle shows is also included in the deal. New comedy series No Heroics (6 x 30) follows the lives of four B-list heroes. Adventurer Bruce Parry makes his debut on Prime with his latest series Amazon (6 x 50) while Special Forces Heroes (4 x 50) re-live tales of rescue from the UK’s military elite. Make My Body Younger (8 x 60) takes viewers on a journey inside their own bodies to find out the damage they are doing to themselves with alcohol, cigarettes and bad diets, while Blood & Guts – a History of Surgery (5 x 50) reveals the failures as well as the triumphs of science in its pursuit of medical knowledge. In Beachcomber Cottage (5 x 60), ex-Royal Marine Monty Halls attempts to live off the land in a remote Scottish croft, and chef James Martin mingles with the locals and perfects traditional French dishes in James Martin’s Champagne (5 x 30) and James Martin’s Brittany (10 x 30).
