Seoul – Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific and Korea Digital Satellite Broadcasting (SkyLife) announced that they have launched a 24-hour Discovery HD channel in Korea on the SkyLife HD platform. Discovery HD in Korea will offer new content that maximizes the potential of HD technology. These include Behind The Camera, a five-part series that follows three different photographers in each episode; Star Racer which features the world of high-stakes racing at the Montreal Grand Prix; and Stunt Stars, which goes behind-the-scenes to discover how stunt professionals beat the risks of bringing action to life on screen. Discovery HD first launched internationally in Korea as a one-hour block on SkyLife in 2005. Discovery now operates HD services in five markets in the region – Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and South Korea – reaching 6.3 million households.
