Singapore – StarHub announced the appointment of David Storrie as CEO of Nucleus Connect with effect from 1 May 2009. As CEO, Storrie will lead Nucleus Connect to create a vibrant Retail Service Provider (RSP) environment offering comprehensive and flexible services that will help all RSPs select and deliver broadband connectivity services to their target markets quickly and seamlessly. A telecommunications veteran with more than 30 years of working experience, Storrie joined StarHub in April 2000. He currently heads up StarHub Integrated Network Engineering (SHINE), overseeing the day-to-day operations of the fixed and mobile networks and charting the company’s strategic technology directions. He also heads the International Carrier Relations and Domestic Wholesale services. Previously, Storrie worked for British Telecoms (BT), and has held various senior management positions within the BT Group. With Storrie’s appointment to Nucleus Connect, StarHub’s chief operating officer Tan Tong Hai will directly oversee the management of SHINE until Storrie’s position is filled. Nucleus Connect is responsible for designing, building and operating the active infrastructure of Singapore’s Next-Gen National Broadband Network (NGNBN). Nucleus Connect is a wholly-owned subsidiary of StarHub and was incorporated on 14 April 2009.
