Petaling Jaya – A delegation from Media Prima Berhad (MPB), led by chairman Dato’ Abdul Mutalib Razak, made a three day visit from April 18 to 20 to the Republic of Maldives at the invitation of the Republic’s Ministry for Tourism, Arts and Culture. The visit facilitated discussions on how MPB will be able to help the Island state develop its media and broadcast industries including radio and TV. Among the areas explored were training for local media and broadcast personnel, and the sharing of expertise in the field of broadcasting, especially in areas of management, financing, marketing, productions and technical fields. “The working visit is very much in line with our regional expansion strategies and will allow us to explore opportunities for collaboration,”said Dato’ Mutalib. This will be Media Prima’s third venture with foreign governments, apart from Oman and Pakistan.
