Malaysia – The winner of Football reality TV show, Super Soccer Star Malaysia (SSSM), Mohammad Amer bin Saidin, 16 from Tasek Gelugor, Penang received double celebration as he gets to live the soccer star’s dream with an official tryout in the presence of football coaches, talent scouts, and agents at the Chelsea FC Youth Academy, UK. At the gala season finale episode, SSSM co-producers, Nafalia Corporation Sdn. Bhd. and Galleon Entertainment revealed the grand prize winner in addition to the six category awards including one lucky home viewer contestant of the show. Galleon Entertainment is the show’s format rights holder and Nafalia Corporation is the local production company. “Our primary goal in producing SSSM in Malaysia was to discover untapped talents given the popularity and mass appeal of football in this market,” stated Gerald Tan, group managing director, Galleon Asia Pacific. “We intend to continue with the second season of SSSM in the hope of elevating the standard of football among Malaysian youths.”
