Singapore – ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) announced the appointment of Anurag Dahiya as vice president, strategy & business development. Dahiya makes a lateral move from ESS’ programming & acquisitions department, where he was most recently vice president, programming – South Asia. In this new role, Dahiya will be responsible for leading the network’s strategic planning process and will work closely with various department and country heads to develop a framework for driving new initiatives across the region, including plans for expansion into new growth areas and developing new offerings. In addition, Dahiya will continue to manage ESS’ cricket rights and as head of the cricket syndication team, he will be responsible for ESS’ cricket acquisitions and syndication business.
