Singapore – BBC Worldwide announced the launch of BBC Knowledge on GS Gangnam Broadcasting in South Korea. Available on the digital basic tier of the platform, the launch will build on BBC Knowledge’s existing distribution in the country. The channel is currently available to 650,000 households on CJ Hellovision’s digital platform and on Science TV as a two-hour prime-time block to 10 million homes. Mark Whitehead, BBC Worldwide Channels Asia’s senior vice president and general manager said, “South Korea is an important part of our channels’ expansion strategy in Asia. We are excited to build on the existing distribution of BBC Knowledge through this partnership with GS Gangnam.”
