Singapore – CNBC is back in Taiwan, after a three-year hiatus, adding to its pan-Asian distribution by launching on channel 309 of TFN Media’s newly formed digital CATV service, New TV. TFN Media is wholly owned by Taiwan Mobile Co., Taiwan’s leading mobile operator, carrying over 6.5 million mobile subscribers and 550,000 cable subscribers in the market. TFN Media is targeting 100,000 subscribers within three years. “This launch is the first of more distribution expansion we want to push through in this market,” said Jacqueline Lam, head of network distribution, CNBC Asia Pacific.
