Hong Kong – FlashForward, one of the most anticipated new shows of the 2009/2010 US television season, has been picked up by ten broadcasters in Asia Pacific with telecast across 44 countries, announced Disney-ABC International Television (DAIT) Asia Pacific. In Asia Pacific, FlashForward has been acquired by free TV broadcasters Seven Network (Australia), TVB (Hong Kong), Media Prima (Malaysia), TVNZ (New Zealand), MediaCorp (Singapore), ABS-CBN (Philippines), and pay TV platforms Fox International Corporation (SE Asia, HK and Taiwan), Zee Cafe (India), OCN (Korea) and SingTel (Singapore). Two broadcasters launching within two weeks of the US premiere are Seven Network (September 28 at 8pm) and MediaCorp (October 4 at 10pm). In addition, FIC will be broadcasting FlashForward on dates staggered around Taiwan and all SE Asian markets, launching first in Philippines on Star World (December 10). In addition to the broadcasters who have acquired FlashForward, DAIT announced that catch-up TV service for FlashForward will be available in Australia and Singapore within 12 hours of the local telecast as part of a strategy to ensure the widest audience possible.
