New York – AETN International and The People Speak, llc have reached an agreement on international distribution rights for The People Speak, announced Sean Cohan, senior vice president, international for A&E Television Networks (AETN). AETN International will manage distribution of the completed film, as well as international format and short-form distribution rights. Set to premiere in the US on HISTORY in December 2009, The People Speak focuses on democratic activism, based on the lives and experiences of ordinary Americans who, through their words and actions, changed the course of history. The film will take viewers on a journey from the founding of this country to the civil rights movement and beyond.
