Sony Pictures Television (SPT) announced that it has reached an agreement with Sunjin Entertainment in Korea to develop and produce a television series for local broadcasters. Under the agreement, SPT and Sunjin Entertainment will initially focus on producing content adapted from SPT’s catalogue. The first co-production project will be localizing SPT’s scripted comedy series, The Nanny. Lee Yun Kyung, president of Sunjin Entertainment, said, “We’re confident that Sony Pictures Television’s success in localizing U.S. sitcoms, Sunjin’s experience in Korea, the incredible local talent in Korea and the sophistication of the Korean television market will make this the first of many successful collaborations.”
