ABS-CBN expands its international reach through a new partnership with Rakuten Viki that brings selected titles from its content library to over 200 countries and territories across the Americas, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
The titles are available with English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French subtitles, with additional language support expected through Viki’s global community-driven subtitling network.
The latest collaboration further strengthens ABS-CBN’s growing presence as a global storytelling company as it continues to bring Filipino stories and talent to audiences worldwide through international streaming, broadcast, and digital platforms.
The launch titles from ABS-CBN now available on the platform include the first-ever Filipino adaptation of the South Korean hit series “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” starring multi-awarded actors Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia, and Carlo Aquino, which tackles mental health and aims to break the stigma surrounding it in a Filipino context, alongside the internationally recognized youth romance series “He’s Into Her” and “He’s Into Her Season 2” led by Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano. The series won awards at the Asian Academy Creative Awards and Seoul International Drama Awards and was also nominated at the Venice TV Awards.
The partnership expands the international footprint of ABS-CBN content through Rakuten Viki, one of the world’s leading streaming platforms for Asian entertainment with over 120 million registered users globally.
ABS-CBN recently announced that 2 Good 2 Be True is the first Philippine drama to air on free-to-air television in the Middle East via Dubai One.
These developments reflect ABS-CBN’s continuing transformation into a global storytelling company that creates and distributes Filipino stories for audiences worldwide across multiple platforms.
To date, ABS-CBN has sold over 50,000 hours of content to more than 50 countries worldwide spanning drama, entertainment, lifestyle, and news programming.
ABS-CBN’s ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel remains the most subscribed media and entertainment YouTube channel in Southeast Asia with 54.8 million subscribers.
The Rakuten Viki partnership was facilitated through ABS-CBN’s International Sales Division as the company continues to grow its international content distribution business and worldwide audience reach.
