All3Media International reveals new premium deals for George Kay’s Gone

May 14, 2026 by TVA Editor

Leading independent distributor All3Media International has announced a round of new premium partners for Gone, the acclaimed, hit drama from multi-award-winning writer George Kay (Hijack, The Long Shadow), produced by New Pictures (The Long Shadow, Des, Catherine the Great) in association with Kay’s Observatory Pictures. Today, the series has also earned international recognition with a Golden Nymph Award nomination from the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, which will see it compete for Best Series, Best Creation, Best Actress, Best Actor, the Jury Special Prize, and the Public Prize.

Premiering earlier this year on ITV in the UK, Gone outperformed the primetime average by 21%* and outside of the UK also drew in a strong audience, launching as the No 1 title on Australia’s leading streaming platform Stan. The series received widespread critical acclaim with The Guardian calling Gone “the most engrossing drama we’ll see this year”, the Independent praising it as a  “clever, nuanced drama” and The Daily Mail describing David Morrissey’s performance as “mesmeric”.

Following this successful launch, newly revealed broadcast partners include Filmin in Spain, NPO in the Netherlands, VRT in Flemish Belgium, Virgin Media in Ireland, SVT in Sweden, DR in Denmark and YLE in Finland and Cosmote in Greece. These new partners join BritBox in North America, Stan in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand and BBC Studios in Asia

The six part series centres on the unsettling disappearance of Sarah Polly, with suspicion quickly falling on her husband, local headmaster Michael Polly, played by David Morrissey. Outwardly respectable and obsessively ordered, Michael finds his carefully controlled world unravelling when he comes up against Detective Annie Cassidy, portrayed by Eve Myles. What follows is an intense psychological duel, as Annie chips away at Michael’s composed exterior in a tense game of cat and mouse that threatens to expose what lies beneath.

Beyond the central mystery, Gone digs into themes of trauma, trust, and the long shadow cast by elite institutions, giving the drama a deeper emotional and social edge alongside its thriller elements.
