After connecting with audiences during its theatrical release earlier this year, Rubaab is all set to reach a wider audience with its digital premiere on Marathi ZEE5. Blending romance, drama, and emotion, the film brings a story rooted in pride, relationships, and the choices that shape who we are. At its heart, Rubaab follows the journey of Suraj and Vaishali—two strong-willed individuals whose lives come together through love but are tested by circumstances and their own sense of self. As their relationship evolves, the film explores how pride, ego, and emotions can both strengthen and challenge human connections.

With a mix of romance, action, and emotional moments, Rubaab captures the highs and lows of relationships while reflecting the importance of self-respect and identity. Featuring performances by Sambhaji Sasane, Sheetal Patil, Vishal Shirtode, Abhijeet Sakate, and Simran Khedkar, the film received appreciation in theatres for its engaging narrative and performances. With its digital premiere, Rubaab is now set to reach audiences across the globe, bringing Marathi storytelling to a wider platform.

Speaking about the digital premiere on ZEE5, Hema V. R., Chief Channel Officer – Zee Marathi and Business Head – Marathi ZEE5, said, “Rubaab is a heartfelt celebration of relationships—of the pride we carry, the love we protect, and the emotions that shape who we are. Set against a culturally grounded backdrop, the film tells a story that feels deeply relatable and close to home. It reflects the honesty and authenticity that define Marathi cinema, and we’re proud to bring this powerful narrative to audiences everywhere through Marathi ZEE5.”

Director Shekhar Bapu Rankhambe shared, “Rubaab is a story about love, self-respect, and the choices people make when emotions and ego collide. It’s a narrative that comes from a very real space, and seeing audiences connect with it in theatres has been incredibly special. I’m glad the film will now reach even more viewers on Marathi ZEE5.”

Sambhaji Sasane added, “Playing Suraj was a very interesting experience because he carries both confidence and vulnerability. The story reflects emotions that many people will relate to, and I’m excited that audiences globally will now get to watch Rubaab on Marathi ZEE5. We are looking forward to it.”

Sheetal Patil said, “Vaishali is a strong and independent character who stands her ground, and that’s what drew me to this role. Rubaab beautifully captures the emotional layers within relationships, and being a part of this journey has been truly special.”

With its blend of romance, drama, and relatable storytelling, Rubaab promises to be an engaging watch for audiences of all ages.
