Keshet International is to launch Reset, a bold new comedy-drama format created by, written and directed by, and starring Adir Miller – Israel’s biggest comedy talent and the International Emmy®-winning creator of the global hit Traffic Light – at this year’s London TV Screenings.
An 8 x 60’ comedy-drama, Reset centres on Gidi Bar-Lavi, a 50-year-old man who is mistakenly diagnosed with a terminal illness. Believing he is about to die, Gidi embarks on a spectacular life implosion: quitting his job, destroying his marriage, torching relationships and embracing reckless freedom. When the diagnosis turns out to be wrong, Gidi is forced to confront the wreckage he’s left behind — and the far harder task of facing life instead of death. But now, faced with the before and the aftermath, which life will he choose?
Blending sharp comedy with emotional honesty, Reset explores universal themes of midlife crisis, regret, reinvention and masculinity, delivering a tone that is funny, dark and uncomfortably relatable. With its high-concept premise and episodic “fallout of the week” engine, the series is designed as a clean, exportable format with strong adaptation potential for local markets.
Produced for Keshet 12 by Artza Productions, and distributed internationally by Keshet International, Reset premiered to record ratings – 31.5% viewing share, making it Israel’s highest-rated drama premiere in five years – and rave reviews, with Time Out decreeing it “Adir Miller’s best series so far.”
Adir Miller, creator, writer and director of Reset, says, “I always write about situations I know from my own life. I’m 50 now, which means a midlife crisis is no longer a theory — it’s a fact. I started asking myself: if I thought I was about to die, would I finally do everything I want? And if I had to keep living, would I regret it? It’s a very serious question — which is exactly why it’s so funny. Reset is personal, but I believe it’s also universal. We all dream about starting over… until we realize we actually have to deal with the consequences.”
Kelly Wright, MD of Distribution at Keshet International, comments: “In classic Adir Miller fashion, Reset combines a universally relatable life crisis with a bold comedic engine that feels fresh and highly adaptable. Turning big emotional truths into comedy gold is exactly why Miller’s work has resonated globally for nearly two decades — and why Reset is such a compelling opportunity for international buyers.”
Adir Miller is one of Israel’s most successful creators and performers. His first comedy format Traffic Light won the International Emmy® Award for Best Comedy Series, ran to four ratings-smashing series in Israel, and became one of Keshet International’s best-selling scripted comedy-drama formats, produced in six territories to date (Russia on CTC, where it ran to 10 seasons from 2009 to 2015; two seasons in Lithuania on TV3; in Greece on Open TV; Slovakia on TV JOJ; in the US on Fox; and most recently in 2025/2026, two seasons on TV3 in Latvia.
With Reset, Miller returns to scripted television with his most personal and ambitious work to date, following his most recent Keshet 12 success – four seasons of Daddy Issues (Tzomet Miller), in which Miller starred as a fictionalised version of himself — a celebrated comedian juggling fame, family and fatherhood – in a format often compared to Curb Your Enthusiasm.
