Passion Distribution has announced it has secured the exclusive distribution rights to Twisted Sisters: Madness & Manslaughter, a truly unbelievable two-part true-crime documentary series that delves into one of the most bewildering and disturbing cases in modern British history. Produced by Mentorn Media for 5, the series will make its international launch at the Passion Showcase event during next year’s London Screenings.
Twisted Sisters: Madness & Manslaughter uncovers the true story of Swedish twins Ursula and Sabina Eriksson, whose inexplicable behaviour in 2008 left police, psychologists, and the public stunned.
Featuring footage originally captured in Mentorn’s own Motorway Cops series, the doc sees the twins repeatedly running into high-speed motorway traffic in an apparently shared terrifying suicide pact. Events escalated when Sabina—released from custody shortly after—fatally stabbed a man who had offered her shelter. Her subsequent escape and leap from a 40-foot bridge deepened the mystery.
With unprecedented access, fresh insight and exclusive, never-before-seen footage, Twisted Sisters: Madness & Manslaughter re-examines a story that has haunted audiences for more than a decade. The series also asks urgent questions about mental health, criminal responsibility, and the fragile boundary between shared delusion and shared danger.
“Twisted Sisters: Madness & Manslaughter is a shocking and unforgettable story expertly told by the talented team at Mentorn Media. It is truly a stranger-than-fiction tale that will fascinate audiences and create conversation.,” said Nick Tanner, Director of Sales & Co-productions “We will launch this remarkable series at our Passion Showcase during the London Screenings and can’t wait to bring such a compelling—and truly unforgettable—story to our international partners.”
The two-part series is now available for pre-sale and will be presented in full at the Passion Showcase, invitation-only event that will take place at the Groucho Club on 26th February.
