Reinforcing its presence in the Middle East, Globo is taking part in the Dubai International Content Market (DICM), one of the leading audiovisual industry events in the region. The company’s portfolio features telenovelas, series, as well as scripted and unscripted formats. As part of the event’s official program, on November 4 at 12:30 p.m., Globo will host a showcase presenting its main content and business models.
“The DICM represents an important moment to strengthen Globo’s positioning in the region and to consolidate our strategy of connecting with the market. The showcase allows us to highlight the strength of our portfolio, with formats and titles that have great potential to connect with diverse audiences. The creation of the EMEA Hub in Portugal is an essential step in this movement. It expands our presence and promotes even greater integration with local partners,” says Rodrigo Nascimento, Head of International Sales – EMEA.
To reinforce the EMEA Hub team, Isadora Filpi will start collaborating with partners in the region. With seven years of experience at Globo, she has worked across different markets and participated in key content negotiations.
“The Middle East is a very strategic market for Globo, with strong affinity for our stories. Participating in the DICM is an opportunity to strengthen this relationship and present a portfolio that reflects the quality and global reach of our productions. In addition, the showcase will be a moment to highlight these contents and reaffirm our commitment to expanding partnerships in the region,” adds Isadora Filpi, Content Distribution & Partnerships.
Among the highlights is the telenovela Anything Goes, recently aired in TV Globo’s prime-time slot. The production celebrates the network’s 60th anniversary and revisits one of the greatest classics in Brazilian television drama, originally broadcast in 1988. Adapted by Manuela Dias (A Mother’s Love, Justice) and directed by Paulo Silvestrini (Never Give Up), the plot addresses themes such as ethics, character, and family relationships. Vale Tudo reached more than 141 million Brazilians and became the highest-grossing primetime telenovela in the network’s history.
Another Globo highlight at the event is Queen of Myself, by Rosane Svartman (Total Dreamer). Currently airing in Brazil, the story follows Leona (Clara Moneke, from Never Give Up), whose life changes through her relationship with Sofia (Elis Cabral), a seven-year-old girl she becomes the nanny of. Their meeting marks the beginning of a journey filled with affection, care, companionship, and human connection. Featuring strong female characters, Queen of Myself blends comedy, drama, romance, adventure, suspense, power struggles, and unexpected twists.
Globo’s DICM portfolio also includes the telenovela formats Total Dreamer and The Life We Lead, both international success, as well as the series The Others and the variety shows Family Size and What a Wonderful Cuisine Class.
