CAKE has announced a deal with Wonderstorm for 7 seasons (63 x 22’) of the critically-acclaimed animated fantasy-adventure series The Dragon Prince.
Created by Aaron Ehasz (Avatar: The Last Airbender) and Justin Richmond (Uncharted) with animation by Bardel Entertainment (Rick and Morty, Teen Titans Go!, Dinotrux and Diary of a Wimpy Kid), the series won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2020 for Outstanding Children’s Animated Series and is a top 10 show in 69 countries on Netflix.
The Dragon Prince follows the journey of two human princes, Callum and Ezran, and an elven assassin, Rayla, who uncover a long-lost secret: the egg of the Dragon Prince, thought to have been destroyed. This discovery holds the power to end the bitter war between humans and elves, but to restore peace the trio must embark on a perilous quest, crossing the fractured human kingdoms and venturing deep into the magical lands of Xadia to return the egg to its mother, the Dragon Queen.
With themes of family, forgiveness, and the power of understanding across divides, The Dragon Prince blends humour, heart, and high-stakes adventure into a sweeping saga of magic and destiny.
Aimed at 10+, young adults and family audiences, The Dragon Prince is supported by toys, books, and games. The final chapter of the epic saga, The Dragon King, was announced in July through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, which reached its goal in under five hours.
