Prime Video Registers Global & National Success for its Prime Day 2025 Content Line-up

July 24, 2025 by TVA Editor

Prime Video India’s mega line-up for Prime Day 2025 that was scheduled on 12th, 13th, and 14th July, captivated Prime members both in India and across the world. In the month leading up to Prime Day 2025, the service unveiled an exciting slate of 17 Indian and international series and movies across multiple languages, that were streamed by customers from over 4,400 Indian towns and cities. Prime Video’s Prime Day 2025 line-up included Indian Original series and movies like Panchayat Season 4, The Traitors, Uppu Kappurambu, as well as the Priyanka Chopra, Idris Alba and John Cena-starrer Original movie Heads of State, in addition to several other titles from US, Japan, and Korea.

Not just India, Prime Video’s Indian-language titles, released as a part of Prime Day 2025 found resonance with global audience, as viewers from over 224 countries and territories tuned in to watch them. Panchayat Season 4, one of the most-loved Indian Originals and a Prime Day 2025 release, achieved the highest opening in the franchise’s history during launch week. This new season was streamed by audiences in over 180 countries and territories and 95% of pin codes in India in the launch week. The latest season also featured in the Top 10 Trending list on Prime Video in over 42 countries worldwide on the launch day itself. The Traitors—Prime Video’s biggest unscripted series—was watched in 88% of India’s pin codes, keeping fans across the country hooked to its nail-biting, high-octane drama. As the home for India’s biggest streaming franchises, Prime Video continues to give customers more of the shows they love. While The Traitors will be back for Season 2, Panchayat Season 5 is also in development and will premiere in 2026.

“Through our spectacular content line-up, we delivered one of the most engaging experiences for our customers this Prime Day,” said Shilangi Mukherji, director & head of SVOD business, Prime Video, India. “While our content resonated deeply and strongly across India, the exceptional response from global audiences to our Indian titles demonstrates the growing influence of Indian entertainment on the world stage. As we continue to take Indian stories global, we’re equally dedicated to bringing premium international content to our Indian audiences, ensuring a truly borderless entertainment experience.”

With Prime Video continuing to make global entertainment more accessible to customers across the country with subtitles and dubbing in Indian languages, international content from the Prime Day line-up also struck a chord with Indian audiences, receiving viewership coming from over 95% of India’s pin codes. While the mega-blockbuster Original movie Heads of State was loved across the country, viewers also enjoyed Korean and Japanese titles such as Good Boy (Korean), Head Over Heels (Korean), City and the Animation (Japanese), in addition to other titles from the US like Ballard, Dexter: Resurrections, Deep Cover, and more.
