arkona and manifold to show broadcasters at BroadcastAsia 2025

May 7, 2025 by TVA Editor

arkona technologies GmbH and manifold technologies GmbH will be showing attendees at BroadcastAsia 2025 how to achieve a simpler, economical and future-proof path to IP. The companies, technology partners and providers of cutting-edge IP core infrastructure solutions, will be on Magna Systems’ Stand # 5D1-1, where they will present EASY-IP, a unique platform that combines arkona’s BLADE//runner with manifold’s manifold CLOUD for best-of-breed audio/video routing, processing, and multi-viewing tools. An arkona technical expert will be on the Magna stand to provide support and answer any questions regarding ease-of-use and to explain the benefits of the platform.

EASY-IP easily integrates into existing facilities via common industry-standard control protocols bringing a seamless transition to a more flexible and future-proof IP infrastructure. The platform offers broadcast quality up/down/cross conversions; and JPEG-XS encode/decode for low-latency high-quality video compression. An extensive range of additional processing capabilities are available as pooled resources with options that include video mixing and down-stream keying to create versioning and branding; proc-amp, color-correction and HDR-SDR conversion for shading and color-space conversion. BLADE//runner operates on arkona’s FPGA based programmable acceleration cards (PACs), enabling real-time instantiation, control, and monitoring of processing functions.

EASY-IP also incorporates manifold CLOUD, the industry’s highest density ultra-low-latency multiviewer, into the bundle. manifold CLOUD handles demanding live sports, entertainment and news productions while simultaneously providing benefits of scalability, resiliency, quick deployment and unified control. Capable of up to 1.6 Tbps of processing in one RU, manifold CLOUD utilizes the power of COTS FPGA accelerators available from multiple IT vendors. With its unique distributed architecture any source can be displayed on any output in any size with virtually no limitations with guaranteed ultra-low latency end-to-end. In addition, every UHD source in manifold generates a high-quality 1080P proxy available as a discrete ST 2110 source.

“Asia is a key region for both arkona and manifold with numerous installations and several projects on the horizon,” said Erling Hedkvist, Business Development Manager for arkona and manifold. “We are delighted to show our support for the market and for Magna, our trusted partner, with our presence and will be available to demonstrate the benefits of EASY-IP and answer any questions.”

Magna Systems group CEO Matthew Clemesha added, “We are delighted to have arkona technologies and manifold technologies demonstrating their unique EASY-IP solution on our stand at BroadcastAsia. Our partnership with arkona and manifold continues to strengthen and grow as does the popularity of their products and solutions in the Asia Pacific region. As such, we are looking forward to a very successful show.”
