This year, Studio 100 Film is bringing an incredible lineup to the market, featuring a wide range of family-friendly films, thrilling adventures, and heartwarming stories, sure to capture the attention of global audiences.
Studio 100 Film’s AFM 2024 Lineup:
1. “Arnie & Barney” – A Slapstick-filled Comedy Debut
In the midst of a severe drought, the ant platoon sets out to save their community, but the hilariously inept Arnie and Barney – definitely not cut out for heroics – decide to tackle the problem themselves. Their bumbling effort leads them to uncover a shady water racket and team up with a secretive superhero mosquito. In a series of comical mishaps, they inadvertently save the meadow and become the most unlikely heroes of all! Arnie and Barney are voiced by Shane Dundas and David Collins aka
The Umbilical Brothers, a renowned international comedy duo. The script to which they contributed was written by Fin Edquist (200% Wolf, 100% Wolf, Maya the Bee – movie trilogy). Produced by Studio 100 International, with Studio Isar Animation and
3 Doubles Producciones as service partner, delivery is planned for Q1-2026.
2. “Miss Moxy” – A Journey of Friendship and Discovery
Inspired by a true story, this family film follows Miss Moxy, a domesticated cat that gets lost during a summer holiday in Southern France. She embarks on a turbulent odyssey across Europe to return home, learning valuable life lessons along the way and befriending the most despicable creatures a cat can imagine: A dog and a bird. Directed by Vincent Bal (The Zigzag Kid) and Wip Vernooij, the screenplay was written by Maureen Verspille. Produced by Phanta Animation, BosBros, with co-producers Eyeworks Film & TV Drama and AVROTROS, the movie will available early 2025.
3. “North” – A Magical Winter Adventure
This family adventure is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen” and a true European take on this fairy tale, following a young girl named Gerda on a perilous mission to save her best friend Kai from the Snow Queen’s icy grip. “North” is produced by Haakon Gundersen (Flight of the Navigator, Free Jimmy) and directed by the critically acclaimed fantasy author Bente Lohne, who also wrote the screenplay. Joining the project as consulting producer is Ralph Guggenheim, the producer of the Academy Award-winning “Toy Story” and co-founder of Pixar Animation. The talented team of animators, composers, and sound designers aims to bring the breathtaking beauty of Norwegian landscapes to life on the big screen, alongside a vision of the Snow Queen’s magical realm. Produced by PictoryLand AS and Anima Vitae, known for its works like “Niko – Beyond the Northern Lights” and “Moominvalley”, “North” will have its world premiere in November 2025 and will be released by Norsk Filmdistribution in the Nordic market.
4. “Heidi – Rescue of the Lynx” – A Tale of Nature and Compassion
This brand-new animated film stays true to the spirit of the original work and its characters. Coming up with a new storyline about the famous little girl from the Swiss Alps, the film combines all the qualities of a positive heroine while touching on environmental topics for a global and modern audience. When Heidi saves a lynx family and their home from a greedy businessman, she realizes that these animals belong in the wild just as she belongs with her grandfather in the mountains. This truly heartwarming adventure was created by screenwriter Rob Sprackling (Gnomeo & Juliet, The Queen’s Corgi) and is produced by Studio 100 International, Studio Isar Animation, 3 Doubles Producciones and Hotel Hungaria Animation. The movie is scheduled for release in July 2025.
5. “200% Wolf” – A Poodle with a Hero’s Heart
Heroic poodle Freddy Lupin has everything it takes to lead his werewolf pack. Except respect. If only he were more… wolfish. But when a wayward wish transforms him into a werewolf and deposits a mischievous moon sprite on earth, Freddy must restore the cosmic order before earth and moon collide! Oops! One thing’s for sure – Freddy will never question being a poodle again! Written by Fin Edquist (100% Wolf, Maya the Bee – movie trilogy) and produced by Flying Bark Productions, Siamese,
200 Wolf La Pelicula, and Screen Australia, the movie is already available.
6. “My Freaky Family” – Music, Magic, and follow your Dreams
“My Freaky Family” is a magical and humorous film that blends light and dark elements, reminiscent of “Hotel Transylvania” and “Troll Hunters.” The story follows 13-year-old Betty, a budding musician and magical being, as she navigates self-discovery and identity within her unique family, despite her mum’s objections. Directed by Mark Gravas and written by Emmy Award-winner Cleon Prineas (TV series “Beat Bugs”) and Penny Greenhalgh, it’s based on Colin Thompson’s book series “The Floods.” Featuring a stellar voice cast, including Evanna Lynch, Miranda Otto, and Richard Roxburgh, the film is produced by POP Family Entertainment and Telegael and is already available.
Studio 100 Film also has three other titles in its slate: “On the Edge: Donnie Dares!” (working title), “Flamingo Flamenco” and “Dougie Dolittle” – all currently in development and financing, deliveries are planned for 2026/2027.
