France 24’s four-episode series, ‘Indigenous peoples and climate change,’ created by James André and Achraf Abid, has won the ‘People – Television’ prize at the Together for Planet, People, Peace (T4P) Media Awards. The prestigious award was announced by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) during its 8th Media Summit on Climate Action and Disaster Prevention, held in Bali on August 6-7, 2024.
Launched by ABU in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the T4P Media Awards celebrate the journalistic productions that uphold the values of sustainability, inclusivity, and peace.
In the weeks leading up to the opening of COP 28, France 24 sheds light on those who are on the front line every day in the face of climate change.
From Kenya to Panama, via Greenland and Australia, France 24’s reporters James André and Achraf Abid meet the Indigenous peoples who live in harmony with nature and whose daily lives are disrupted by climate change.
