ADN (Animation Digital Network), the French streaming platform dedicated to on-demand animation, is pleased to announce the signing of a broadcasting and distribution agreement with MAINICHI BROADCASTING SYSTEM, INC (MBS), one of Japan’s oldest television and radio broadcasting companies, renowned especially for its continuous presence in the anime industry.. The agreement between ADN and MBS covers the broadcast of several series from the MBS catalogue on the ADN platform, all available starting from 2024 and onwards. ADN is also acquiring the distribution rights for these series, reinforcing its commitment to promoting and broadcasting Japanese series.
This strategic agreement with a major actor in the Japanese animation industry marks a significant step in ADN‘s development, strengthening both its position as the platform of choice for anime fans in France and as a world-class distributor. Thanks to this collaboration with MBS, ADN will be expanding its catalogue with high-quality series, broadcast for the first time in France, in order to offer its subscribers an even more cutting-edge selection.
“This distribution agreement reflects how dynamic the market remains and the need for alternatives. We are convinced that an actor like ADN can make a significant contribution to the animation market and provide the most complete offer for fans”. Declares Julien Lemoine, Managing Director of ADN. In response, Shinji Nakano, director of Mainichi Broadcasting System, stated, “As the ways to enjoy anime continue to diversify, we too will not stop evolving. We will continue to develop distribution systems so that people around the world can experience the best of anime. We are pleased to be on this journey with ADN, a company that continues to provide world-class anime.”The first series to benefit from this agreement is Pon no Michi, broadcast as a simulcast since January 2024. ADN subscribers have the chance to discover this new series just one hour after MBS viewers in Japan.
