Boat Rocker, an independent, integrated global entertainment company, announced its scripted format sales capabilities in the Asian market are expanding. The company’s Hong Kong-based sales team recently closed a format deal in Korea with Next Entertainment World, the production studio behind Train to Busan and Smugglers, for Boat Rocker’s Orphan Black. In addition, the team recently brokered a format deal of a well-known third-party scripted title for a Hong Kong producer, which will formally be announced when the production team and cast is confirmed.

Boat Rocker also announced content sales to leading Asian streaming platforms of multiple premium scripted series produced and distributed by the company. They include the critically acclaimed comedy Slip, starring Zoe Lister-Jones (Life in Pieces), to Watcha (Korea), CatchPlay+ (Taiwan and Indonesia), and Now Studio (Hong Kong and Macau). In addition, the highly anticipated sci-fi drama Orphan Black: Echoes, starring Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) and Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard), and sci-fi psychological thriller Beacon 23, starring Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) and Stephan James (Homecoming), were sold to Now Studio as well
Boat Rocker manages the Orphan Black global franchise, including content distribution and consumer products. The company also manages global distribution for a growing number of other premium scripted series, including American Rust and Robyn Hood.
