Formula E and Eclat Media Group announced an extension of the exclusive multi-year broadcast agreement to air the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in selected markets across the APAC region.
The partnership began in early 2022 at the start of Season 8 and will now continue through upcoming seasons with SPOTV’s linear channels and streaming platform SPOTV NOW, broadcasting races live in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam.
In addition to live races, SPOTV will also maintain live broadcasts of Formula E practice sessions and the popular qualifying format, known as Duels, where drivers race head-to-head in a knockout format to decide starting grid positions.
SPOTV also broadcasts race highlights programming with localised Formula E content for TV, digital and social media across different markets in the region.
The first race of Season 10 is Saturday, 13 January 2024 in Mexico City and continues with a 16-race calendar including multiple races in Asia. Formula E will become the first motorsport world championship to race on the streets of Tokyo on Saturday, 30 March, and will race for the first time in Shanghai with a double-header on Saturday, 25 May and Sunday, 26 May. The series returns to Hyderabad on Saturday, 10 February following a successful debut last season.
