Featuring the extraordinary life of an ordinary housewife, ZEE5 Global’s direct-to-digital release Mrs. Undercover stars India’s celebrated actress, Radhika Apte, along with Sumeet Vyas and Rajesh Sharma. In the film, Apte plays a spy who is suddenly called back to her job after ten years of staying undercover as a housewife named Durga.
Adding to the April excitement will also be Alaya F starrer ZEE5 Original Film U-Turn. The supernatural thriller features motorists who take a U-turn illegally and don’t realise that one U-Turn can change the course of their life. Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor’s – Balaji Telefilms Limited, the title keeps viewers thrilled in anticipation of what’s coming next. Featuring an ensemble star cast of Priyanshu Painyuli, Rajesh Sharma, Aashim Gulati, Shreedhar Dubey, Sahil Takhi, Apoorva Suman, amongst others, the movie will premiere on ZEE5 Global on 28th April 2023.
The highly anticipated Arjun Ashokan, Anaswara Rajan, Mamitha Baiju, Hakkim Shah, and Manoj K U starrer Malayalam romantic comedy Pranaya Vilasam has been creating waves. The film is a journey into the life and character of an ordinary housewife/mother before she adopted these roles.
Adding fun to the summer, Punjabi comedy drama Mitran Da Naa Chalda, headlined by superstar Gippy Grewal, features the story of Laddi, a boy bullied throughout childhood for his stammering. He dropped out of school in his early years but learned a lot about legal and court cases while growing up with his maternal uncle, who worked at a court. The movie then follows Laddi’s journey as he helps a few vulnerable girls fight against their mighty opponent in court.
With an IMDb rating of 8.2 and strongly positive reviews, Bengali film Projapoti starring the veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty and popular star Dev, has been creating quite a stir in the Bangla film industry. A heartwarming tale of a father and son, the story revolves around an ageing widower who wants his son Joy (Dev) to get married and believes a bigger family to be the answer to his loneliness. However, his son, a busy wedding planner, doesn’t have any plans to get hitched.
The much-awaited Tamil murder mystery series Oru Kodai Murder Mystery, starring Abirami is also a part of the April slate. Directed by well known director Vishal Venkat, the cast comprises Akash, Aishwarya, Raghav, John, Namritha, Abitha, Franklin, and Sylven. It features a mysterious murder case that reveals spine-chilling mysteries at the end of the investigation.
Also featured in the April slate is Tamil action drama, Ayothi starring M.Sasikumar, Preethi Asrani and Yashpal Sharma. The movie revolves around a family hailing from Ayodhya and their pilgrimage to Rameswaram for spiritual enlightenment. However, when faced with challenges, an unlikely samaritan emerges.
