Chinese actor Luo Zheng continues to shine as China’s king of C-drama, once again dominating viewership charts in iQIYI’s latest original romantic comedy series Perfect Mismatch, which began airing on February 14, cementing his title as “the man who draws the highest viewerships”!

Making his debut in 2018, Luo Zheng first burst into the C-drama scene with campus teenage series Rules of Zoovenia, quickly catching the eye of audiences with his handsome boyish looks and charismatic demeanour. In recent years, he has capitalised on his strengths and continued churning out successful dramas one after another, such as last year’s Nothing But You and Oh My Lord, cementing his spot as the prince of romance drama in the eyes of audiences across Asia.

In Perfect Mismatch, Luo Zheng plays to his strengths to portray the charming CEO Zhou Zhifei, starring opposite young actress Lu Xiaoyu’s Shi Huahua. In this series, Shi is a village girl who is skilled in martial arts and well-versed with chinese medicine. In a twist of fate, she becomes the assistant of Zhou Zhifei, and at some point also saves his life. The two lead characters who come from very different worlds begin a journey of romance.

In recognition of his viewership prowess, Luo Zheng was even appointed the 2022 international VIP ambassador for iQIYI, working alongside Asia’s leading streaming platform to promote the quality streaming experience. Last year, he also ventured outside of the Chinese market, holding a fan meet in Thailand and gracing his overseas fans with his presence!
