The new season of Alice in Borderland has set a new record as the most-watched Japanese series ever on Netflix (live-action and anime inclusive) in just four days.
After premiering on December 22, Alice in Borderland season two has taken the #1 spot on the Global Non-English TV list with 61.2 million viewing hours over its premiere weekend (based on the week of Dec 19 – 25). Season two hit the Top 10 Series list in 90 countries, including Japan, US, Canada, Brazil, France, Hong Kong, Taiwan and more.
In addition, the first season of Alice in Borderland returned to the Global Non-English TV Top 10 in the #2 spot and was in the Top 10 Series list in 31 countries (including Japan).
Total viewing hours for Alice in Borderland seasons 1 and 2 was approximately 80M in premiere weekend for season 2 (this tops Squid Game’s 63M in first week in Global Top 10).
