VICE Distribution, the global distribution and content licensing arm of VICE Media Group, today announces the appointment of Elise Ching as the company’s Sales Director for the APAC region.

Announcing the appointment, Executive Managing Director, Distribution for VICE Media Group, Bea Hegedus, said: “APAC is a key growth area for us as we look to capitalise on the success of the VICE brand and the popularity of our diverse content in the region. I am delighted that Elise will be joining VICE to drive our business in this important market and deliver on our global distribution strategy, taking advantage of VICE’s unique position within a rapidly changing content distribution landscape.”

Elise, who joins VICE this month, will be charged with maximising the value of VICE’s brand in the region with a particular focus on diversifying distribution revenue streams, increasing the presence of VICE content in the market and securing innovative new deals that maximise the value of VICE’s IP which includes the rollout of VICE’s new suite of FAST Channels.

Elise joins VICE from Discovery where she was the Director of Program Licensing for Asia and was responsible for driving and delivering the company’s sales and growth strategy across the region. Prior to that, Elise held senior sales positions at Scripps Networks International and has also had roles at Seven Network Australia, AXN Asia and MTV Asia. 

VICE Media Group has nine offices in the APAC region working across four publishing brands in five local languages and three production hubs. VICE.com has one of the fastest growing audiences in the region with more than 120 million unique monthly visitors. Most recently, VICE Studios has produced a number of high-profile documentaries in India including Indian Predator for Netflix and My Daughter Joined A Cult for Discovery+.

The new appointment comes ahead of this year’s Asia Television Forum where VICE will launch  a number of new titles to buyers in the region including the electrifying new documentary series from the creators of Dark Side of the Ring in partnership with exec producers Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, Tales from the Territories. Also on offer to international buyers is the shocking true crime series Devoured and the hotly anticipated new series Sex Before The Internet. 

VICE Distribution has a catalogue of over 1,000 hours of programming created from across VICE Media Group. VICE Distribution operates a VICE FAST channel on a number of platforms including Roku, Samsung TV Plus, Tubi, Plex and recently announced the upcoming launch of its VICE NEWS FAST Channel which will be home to a range of VICE’s award-winning current affairs and news programming.
